The Forbidden Art

Azrael stroked his chin slightly as he thought about something off topic. He fully healed, standing near Kailyn as she became afraid. Afraid of what was inside of her. Azrael took her in and hugged her, cancelling her Crusnik magic for the time being. The parted, then Azrael bent on his knees and pressed a thumb slightly on Kailyn's stomach.

"Yes. You are with a boy. Don't ask how I know the gender, because I can't explain it either." She started to breathe heavily, stepping back a bit. Azrael stood up, running a hand through his head.

"Brother, I'm scared." Azrael nodded slowly.

"I understand your fear, but you're carrying a child with a destiny beyond comprehension. Just as I guarded you I shall guard your son with my life. Drake, he is a great man. He is the perfect father." Azrael then did one thing that he rarely did, even in situations that called for it.

He smiled.

"Kailyn remember that I'm always here for you. Drake too. If you need anyone to talk to about anything about this pregnancy, I'm here. I've seen enough to know how it works."

Falks flashed and was behind Vera again. He whispered to her once more. "This time it's my turn. Don't fear for your life. Just go along with this and you'll be released safely. I want you to show me where the other barrier mages are." He looked up at Asinoir as Falks' sword was pressed to Vera's throat. "Come any closer and she dies."

Cee grumbled as the warrior party returned, panting and demanding water "Where is Falks."
"Sir, Lord Falks has been captured by the Chosen!" The man said. Cee turned to the rest of Falks' friends. "Looks like it's time to attack."

"Guard!" Tellas called, forming a protective barrier around Vera to protect her from Falks. He moved into the room and simply stated, "She will not die as long as I draw breath," his lupine features were pulled into a frown as his axe simply returned to his hand, "Now cast aside your blade and stand down."

Falks laughed. "Oh look, the doggie wants to play. Sorry" He said as he released Vera for a second. "I don't seems to have any chew toys." Lightning formed in his hand and he blasted it at the wolf dragon. "TASTE MY LIGHTNING FUCKER!"

"Shell!" Tellas called as a similar barrier, this time protecting from ranged strikes, formed around him and taking the brunt of the lightning before dissipating, "I don't play. I just do what I have to," He stated calmly, "Try again if you want the light will not be on your side."

Falks laughed. "Trust me, the light left me long ago." Lightning arced across armor. A ball of energy formed on the tip of his sword, then melted down the edge. Falks' eyes became little more than horizontal slits as the final star lit up. Shockwaves threatened to collapse the building as he focused his energy, which also arced betweem his horns. With a flash he was behind Tellas. He slashed his sword at the wolf, a wave of electrical energy following in it's wake.

Tellas stumbled forward but turned around as if he was uninjued, "If you really wish to fight me, we can take it outside and place a ban on magic for it... If you were skilled you wouldn't need to strike my back like a coward." His body became enveloped in a soft light as he poured part of his life force into the wound to heal it and what the electricity did.

"Sounds fair." Falks reached out and grabbed Tellas' mane fur. He closed his eyes and in a single flash they were both outside, surrounded by bustling mages who stopped to gawk at the golden warrior and dragon wolf that had appeared out of nowhere. The lightning was focused back into the tip of Falks' sword and dissapeared.

"First one to cause a bleeding wound with skill alone with have three questions answered for them by the loser, Fair prize?" Tellas stated, letting his Axe rest on his shoulder.

"Sound fair." Falks said as he rushed forward, his sword ready to kill.

Tellas span round and aimed his axe swing to make the two weapons clash. His face showed no emotion nor any sign that he was actually trying... in fact his face was purely blank. For you Vera... Blessed by Luna you will always be. he thought as he pushed against Falks' weapon.

Falks easily pushed back the weapon. Spinning around, her brought broad side heading straight for Tellas' head. "You people won't be continuing your genocide today."

Tellas ducked under the blade before taking a step back, "I care not about the Chosen's plans. My duty is to another." He said simply lashing out again this time his axe swinging repeatedly from a different angle each time.

Falks stepped backwards, avoid each of the chops. "That woman in there? Pfft. How could she love a dog as ugly as you?" AFter the last wing he decided he had enough. Flash stepping behind Tellas he swung his blade at the wolf's back. "Never look a demon in the eye and take his word." Falks said as he walked away."

Tellas grinned and simply swicthed his axe to a back-handed grip to block the blow, "Some people look past the visage of a Draco Lupus... You obviously are just one only intereted in the surface of things." he said before attempting another spinning strike ino the man's own back.

Vexoz glanced over as he noticed the scouts had left. He had been so buisy, he didn't even notice they left. "I think it will take time before his potion takes effect...." In the back of his mind, the warrior stopped to think about what the potion bottle actually said before realizing he didn't exactly read it. Vera wouldn't have poison just lying around in a potion bottle, would she? Actually, that sounded exactly like something she would do.

June watched as a look of almost panic came across Vexoz's face. "It should make him better... I think."

"Wait!" She responded, "you mean you don't know what it'll do?!?!" Almost frantically she began to look around her to find the bottle she was given.

"I'm sure he'll be fine." The warrior responded in a less than sure tone. "I better see where the scouts have gone." Even as he left, Vexoz could tell June was still in a frenzy. He did NOT want to deal with her if something went wrong! Finally, out of the clearing, he found a few scouts. One of them seemed to be talking to someone familiar....

"Cee!" Vexoz shouted as he approached him, "I should've guessed you were with these... well, I can't call them warriors." He almost mocked as he approached. "How about a duel while I'm waiting on your leader to come back. The murderer that slaughtered an innocent mage for doing his job should at least be able to wield a sword!"

"Just you and me. You accept?"

Falks spun the sword around so that it was held backwards. He blocked attack, shooting his foot out to kick the wolf. "Well from what I've seen you're overbearing, too stupid to realize a woman likes another man, and you just don't know when to give up."

Cee turned to Vexoz. "Honestly I don't feel like fighting you right now. I've had my fill for slaughter today and I'd rather not have Vera angry when I go back with blood on my clothes."

Tellas swiped at Falks' leg and stated, "I made my vow, And I'll keep it until i die. Besides neither of us has bled yet so the duel is still on. Unless you're too cowardly to actually finish a fight."

Falks bpointed his sword at Tellas, the ball appearing once more. "Looks like that day has come sooner than you thought." He said as he blasted all of his lightning straight into Tellas' face.

Tellas swung his axe up at the last minute to change the energy's path. But he just sighed, "Luna says no." And with that he beat his wings to raise into the air, "Your memory is pathetic though."

Falks reabsorbed the lightning as it was deflected. "Well that's just unfair." He could feel the energy being to pus him, just as it had in his duel against Vera. "You know, I suggest we end this before someone gets hurt." He jumped in the air, energy helping to give him a boost. He sliced at Tellas faster than the eye could predict, leaving a thin red line where his blade had a struck. " I win." He said as he fell back to earth and landed with a thud.

Tellas looked at his wound and shrugged, "So you have... You get have three questions answered... so fire away." He let his axe rest on his back before folding his arms.

"I only have two. Where are the other two barrier mages, and where is Vera's house?" He said as he wiped his blade clean.

"Vera's house? I'd be able to tell if she was there, I haven't been here long enough to get the lay of the land," He said, some strain is his voice from staying conscious, "As for the barrier mages... Again I don't know. Now if you'll excuse me..." He took four steps back then fell onto his back, eyes closed.

Cee turned to Vexoz. "Honestly I don't feel like fighting you right now. I've had my fill for slaughter today and I'd rather not have Vera angry when I go back with blood on my clothes."

Vexoz looked around at the makeshift army. "You mean when you go back to murder her! I don't think she will just sit back as you kill her friends and neighbors." It was perfectly clear that Cee had struck a nerve. "I could just make sure most of these men can't make it up the mountain. That would kill some time!"

Quickly drawing his sword, Vexoz looked Cee straight in the eye. "It would be an honor to die for the Chosen stopping this half-baked plot." An image of Vera flashed through his mind before he shook it out. He didn't want to be in love with her! "It's not like I have anything else to live for!"

The warrior had, for a while, openly looked for danger. Deep down, he wanted to die. To suffer for the people he hurt in the past. However, only a fool would do so without a final battle to end thier tale! And Vexoz planned to give it everything he had.
